Yes i spoke to a homeowner in New Jersey a couple of weeks ago that mistakenly said that her house got flooded and the insurance rep told her that she did not have coverage for flooding and that she was on her own. Another tidbit of info… Federal Disaster Assistance is a loan that has to be paid back… Flood insurance on average will cost around $35 a month. It is worth getting if you qualify for it.
