Bush Addresses Rising Health Insurance Crisis but Still No Universal Health Care

By , About.com GuideJanuary 20, 2007

Follow me on:

President Bush is wanting to lessen the health care crisis in America by proposing a federal tax deduction on private and employee sponsored health insurance. The plan has not been outlined extensively yet, but it is progress for President Bush who is against a universal health care system for the United States.

This news comes on the heals of Sen. Hillary Clinton announcing her run for the presidency. These are interesting events because unlike President Bush, Sen. Clinton's husband got the U.S.'s interest in a Universal Health Care System.
