I’m fifty-nine years old and am losing my health insurance next month. I have a couple of minor health issues, but they’re completely controlled. I take one med. Yet I’ve been turned down by every major insurance company (and some fly-by-night ones).
I will *not* pay a thousand dollars a month for “high risk” insurance when I’m not a high risk. I’ll just go without.
Illegal aliens use my tax dollars for their health care every day. My father’s ancestors founded this country. But I can’t get insured. I realize the movie “Idiocrasy” was supposed to be funny, but it wasn’t. “Idiocrasy” is here, now.
Thanks, George W. I can’t wait to see you gone. Permanently, and in the most painful way possible.
Sally
You are so correct! Im 55 and just got turned down today for BCBS coverage after group coverage for 25 years. State high risk as high as 1100 mo.
So what have Sally and Jim done about coverage? I’m 38 and can’t get health ins. because of pre-existing conditions. I work 2 days a week and that takes me just over the top for any assistance and the pool coverage prices are outrageous. If I land in the hospital or need testing I’m sunk. What’s the answer?
