Recently I heard about something that I have never included in my tips and wanted to share with my readers. Some patients have started billing their doctors when the doctors cancel an appointment or are late. And, the best part is that most doctors are paying up!
It only makes sense... doctors use the excuse that their time is valuable and most of them will charge for an appointment canceled by a patient or may charge an extra fee for a patient who shows up late. Well, isn't our time just as valuable? Of course it is and waiting for a doctor who overscheduled and is usually late because they are trying to fit in 50+ patients a day is not your problem and you should not have to waste your valuable time because of it.
