The recent survey released by McKinsey and Co. claims that when the health insurance reform goes into full effect, 30% of employers may choose to drop health care coverage for their employees and instead just pay the fine.
Unfortunately, the main purpose of such legislation was to persuade employers to provide health insurance so they would not have to pay the fine. The law goes into effect in 2014 so I guess we will have to wait and see if the survey proves to be true.
