Now is a great time. Although the insurance industry has had some ups and downs with the economy, overall it has withstood the ride fairly well. Think about it... whatever happens with the economy everyone still needs insurance!
And, if you are in Ohio, Texas, Iowa, or Virginia and have thought about getting into insurance check into Nationwide. They just announced that they are hiring 1,400 insurance positions in those states! The jobs are mostly entry level too so it would be a great way to get your foot in the door.
