What Will You Do When You Need Long Term Care?

Tuesday December 2, 2008
Many people mistakenly think they have a plan for long term care coverage. Some people think that their health or disability insurance will cover a long term illness or a family member will be able to take care of them. Are you willing to risk it? Take these guidelines into consideration when thinking about your LTC needs:

1. Long Term Care is not generally covered by health or disability insurance.

2. Don't just go for the cheapest policy.. study and educate yourself first before choosing a LTC insurance policy.

3. Buy young and get the cheapest premiums.

4. Check with your employer first to see if they offer LTC insurance since it will most likely be cheaper to purchase through your employer.
