Your Insurance Company May Soon Offer Maggot Therapy Coverage!

This is not just fun news for Friday, but a real medical treatment! According to www.foxnews.com, "Now, maggot therapy has received backing from the The American Medical Association and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. That means patients who receive the therapy could be reimbursed for it. Putting maggots on infected wounds is a medicinal practice that dates back to before the Roman Empire."

Well, just because maggot therapy may soon be covered, don't let that fool you into thinking your insurance will cover other traditionally alternative treatments. It is always wise to understand your health insurance exclusions, since what your insurance company may or may not cover is constantly changing.
