This guy really knew how to scam. According to the
Tampa Bay Business Journal, Bijan Razdar had a scammers dream. Razdar was a former Florida insurance agent and even after his license was revoked for "luring senior citizens into buying inappropriate annuities," he still continued is illegal activities but was not hiding it. "While he was still licensed, Razdar operated American Independent Financial Services in Port Richey and produced radio advertisements and seminars that sounded like a financial advice show and drew seniors looking for guidance on how to protect their retirement funds," reports the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
So, having a business store front and radio advertisements would make almost anyone feel this guy was legit. That goes to show you really have to research the company you are looking into when you go to by insurance, especially life insurance and annuity products. The same also goes for when you are considering changing or transferring your life insurance. If you are approached by a life insurance agent and asked to consider canceling your current life insurance policy, keep any eye out for any warning signs of life insurance agents you want to avoid.
