I have found a great online home inventory worksheet. You can download it at www.phmic.com. I like it because it is very basic and is in a very simple and easy to use format. You won't have to worry about clicking from box to box or anything like that.
Having a home inventory list is very important if you would ever need to file an insurance claim. After a total loss it is often very hard to remember everything you had and how much it was worth. If you keep your inventory list in a fire safe box or an alternate safe place, then when it comes time to file an insurance claim the process will be much easier.

The best sites include files, lists & photo storage. Keep you home inventory in a fully digital form on a secure website and even if your home burns down, your web account will preserve it.
