Your Home Inventory List

Friday July 13, 2007
I have found a great online home inventory worksheet. You can download it at www.phmic.com. I like it because it is very basic and is in a very simple and easy to use format. You won't have to worry about clicking from box to box or anything like that.

Having a home inventory list is very important if you would ever need to file an insurance claim. After a total loss it is often very hard to remember everything you had and how much it was worth. If you keep your inventory list in a fire safe box or an alternate safe place, then when it comes time to file an insurance claim the process will be much easier.

I agree that home inventory lists are smart move for all home owners. But hey, the web is here. There are great websites that let you store information on line. The best sites include files, lists & photo storage. Keep you home inventory in a fully digital form on a secure website and even if your home burns down, your web account will preserve it.

My 2 cents.
