Is Your Insurance Contract Legal?

According to the Denver Business Journal, a Colorado church was selling insurance policies illegally. "State regulators are targeting American Church United and Acen L. Phillips, its CEO, and claim the two are selling life insurance policies to church members but are not licensed to sell insurance in Colorado."

Apparently the church group was offering a group life insurance policy to people who signed up as members but according to the Colorado Department of insurance their acts were illegal and they have been issued a cease-and-desist order.
