Unfortunately it may cost health insurance consumers more in the end. Why? Illegal immigrants and people who may have a problem showing U.S. citizenship such as the elderly and homeless are still going to need health care. So, they will still go to health care facilities and the facilities will ultimately be absorbing the costs of all these people who have no health insurance.
Well, do you really think the hospitals and other health care facilities are just going to pay that out of pocket and keep the health care costs the same for paying health insurance consumers? What is likely to happen is that the extra costs will be spread out and absorbed by paying health insurance consumers which adds to the increasing reasons health care costs will likely rise.
I think that all illegal immigrants should be deported.
I work at a hospital and they do “eat” some of the costs for people who can’t afford their bills. The hospital I work for is required to do so for a certain amount of patients each year. They’re not U.S. citizens. They’re taken our money no matter how you look at it.
Lets, be honest how could health insurance be denied to a human being. everyone has the right to recieve medical care no matter what their legal situation is.

working in the health care field, it infuriates me illegals get better, even FREE care than i do……..even after paying 1000’s in premiums all my life they have no right to our health care system, they are an infectious drain on it and will continue to leech all they can out of it. stop treating illegals, let them die, go back to their contry, i’m tired of paying for them when i can’t afford my own healthcare costs.

But most of them came to this country to work and to help their families who live in extrem poverty in the rest of the latin american countries.. I dont think that it is fair for a hard worker to lack of healt insurance.. But life is not fair period.
They are humans with rights regardless of their inmigrant status.. As a healt worker(nurse) and a legal inmigrant, I will be an advocated for those that can not speak out for themselves..

I can’t believe the words of hate I’m reading on this subject. How can people talked about other human beings like they are trash, “let them die” “go back to your own country” God made us all as equals and if someone is sick they do deserve to be treated, these are someone’s daughters, and sons, and mothers and fathers. That’s why the world is becoming such a horrible place to live in, because of insensitive horrible people like some on this forum. If this people cam here it might be for a reason, a lot of this people are just here to work and to give their families back home a better life. illegals still get medicaid for their us born children and they also get food stamps and many more benefits. so where is the change they still can get hud housing because of their american children. all the illegals that applied for fema during hurricanes qualified for fema benefits. so the government is not going to stop giving them benefits. an american asking for help during the hurricanes got no food stamp while all illegals were given fema and food stamps and this crap has to stop but it will take all americans to come against the government to change we have to stop giving them automatic citezenship
In my opinion money has nothing to do with giving illegal immigrants medical care. Backing up a step; I don’t think there should be even one illegal immigrant in this country. Penalties should be so stiff they should be afraid to even think of crossing our border. Concentration Camps maybe? They are tresspassing on private property as I see it. If you feel they are not tresspassing then why even have borders? Just let all the nations of the world open their borders and let everyone run rampant.
All civilized countries have laws on immigration and with good reason. There are rules to become a citizen of this country and they should be followed as designed. If illegal immigrants weren’t illegal then they wouldn’t be called such. Are we to turn a blind eye to the fact they are illegal? Are they more righteous than the bank robber or a the rapist who is still walking the streets unapprehended. I feel every law is to be obeyed or let the law be revoked. As I know it, illegal immigrants are illegals and should be given a 60 day grace period to leave the country or face severe consequences. I don’t believe any person that was born in this country by an illegal immigrant and has not reached the age of 18 should be given citizenship either. I believe in strict adherence to all laws of our land no matter how simple or how complex that law may be!
OK so we all have our views on this but the facts are, They are illegal because they came here in the dead of night after leaving their Country because they could not get what they needed from there. They knew when they came here that they would not be legal and would not have the same rights as we do yet they made the journey anyway. They come here with a very intitled attitude and expect the American people to take care of them when we have enough people who are citizens who need our help and we struggle to help them. They have babies and expect us to take care of them then if they get caught they say what about our kids how can you split up a family why would you do that to us, WE didn’t THEY did, we insure them educate them and make them part of our country. These people knew what they were doing when they came here and they did it anyway. I for one do not feel sorry for them because there are plenty of immagrents who did it the right way and now THEY have health care. I do not feel it is fair that when you go to the emergancy room and it is filled with people who don’t even speak the languge or have insurance, I have to wait untill they are taken care of when I have insurance and speak the language. I think they should be scared to go to the hospital if they are illegal immigrants because they are BREAKING

They Work,using a american’s numbers and keep depositing SS $$ every month. If they stop doing it, the SS Dept will be bankrupt within months,if not weeks. Thats why govt doesnot wish to legalize them.They deposit SS $ knowing they will never get the benefits. Would you do it ? Do they collect unemployment benefits ,Of Course no. Does a regular american know that they are getting extra SS benefits, YES, every year a month before their birthday they get the benefit statement and know that the document shows more income then they earned.
Question : What will happen if we allow then insurance ? They will get coverage,pay premium and use services just like you and me. So why are we not allowing them insurance ? No Life insurance, no medical, no auto ??? I think people with no legal papers should have benefits. it’s not fair how they have to pay huge amounts of money and not get anything like a license, or credit. and much more. Everyone that was in USA back then was a immigrant, they came from Europe and other parts of the world and they weren’t treated with this behavior. so why now.
