Why is America so afraid of a Single-Payer Health Care System?
Monday October 18, 2004
We have a similar health care system already in place for seniors and low-income families (Medicaid and Medicare) and if some American's are so afraid of "socializing" health care, where was that fear when education was socalized? The new book, Critical Condition, is a must read for one who wants to examine how America's current health care system has failed and why a single-payer health care System may be the solution American's have been looking for.

Plan and simple , the Health Insurance companies would go out of business . They are so deep into politics it is sickening. They would rather deny claims and have people die than dish out the money. I know I work in patient accounts . I see it all the time . My questions is , when did the goverment stop caring about its people ? Money is more important to them than any of our lives are .
A mixture of greed and rigid ideology keep Americans from adopting a sensible single-payer system. Insurance companies lobby Congress with campaign funds and confuse the public with Harry and Louise antics. They pull out the ’socialized medicine” boogie man and uneducated Americans start imaginging the Red Army storming our beaches. Americans are simply too stupid for universal healthcare.
1 thing is i worked so very hard to get my own health paid for because i was tired of fighting welfer doctors they treat you like your a dog plain a simple
